Christina Warinner was promoted to full professor with tenure at Harvard University on June 24, 2024. Starting July 1, 2024, she will take up the position of Chair of the Archaeology Program within the Department of Anthropology. She will be the second woman to hold the rank of full professor in Archaeology since the founding of the Anthropology department (originally called the Department of American Archaeology and Ethnology) in 1890.
