Magic Yetis Children’s Libraries

Since 2008, Liesl Clark of Magic Yetis Children’s Libraries has been active in creating children’s libraries in communities throughout Upper Mustang, Nepal, including the villages of Choser, Kagbeni, Samdzong, and Tsarang.

 

 

 

 

Sky Door Foundation

The Sky Door Foundation, an NGO founded by acclaimed mountaineer Pete Athans in partnership with Nepal’s Department of Archaeology, aims to explore and inventory the thousands of archaeological caves found in the remote Himalayan district of Mustang. Since 2008, Pete Athans, known locally as “Mr. Everest,” has used his climbing skills to discover thousands of archaeological sites and assist archaeologists with the excavation of numerous sky caves and cliff tombs.

Khovsgol Dairy Project

The Khovsgol Dairy Project, founded by Chalotte Vad, works to support Sarlagiin Saikhan Khishig, a cooperative of traditional nomadic dairy pastoralists in the Khovsgol Nuur region of northern Mongolia.

 

 

 

 

 

EcoLeap Foundation

The EcoLeap Foundation, founded by Steen Holck, provides assistance with responsible tourism waste management through their “litter education and control project” in Khovsgol National Park, one of Mongolia’s most pristine national parks.
