| About me: I am a chemical pathologist with subspeciality in Molecular diagnostics, i study molecular biology and genomics as a tool to be adapted to genomics of communicable i.e infections and non communicable diseases which entails, human and cancer genomics, this is to investigate and provide diagnosis as early as possible for appropriate treatment in humans , my interest is to provide personalized medicine with analysis of individual genome. I grew up in the ancient city of Oshogbo, its domicile in Osun state southwest of Nigeria. It is majorly a Yoruba speaking part of the country one othe the six Yoruba speaking states. Education is of uptomst importance and many have been trained in sciences, art , social sciences and cultural studies. The state also house Ile-Ife, known as the source of Yoruba lineage, with all the ancient art works in moseums and traditional buildings. We had science laboratories in my school that caught my fancies and endeared me to sciences, also when a child is intelligent, we are made to believe sciences is for you and every one is motivated to do well enough to be seen as science worthy in my secondary school. i love chemistry and biology and longed to study chemical or computer engineering. I studied medicine and surgery in Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State, i had scholarship from my home state , Ondo State all thru my stay in medical school, this kept me encouraged as i was eager to put in my best to retain my scholarship status. I earned my MSc in Clinical Pathology from the University of Lagos , then had my residency training in Chemical Pathology at ObafemiAwolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife and currently i am in the Molecular biology and genomics Phd program at the Redeemers University Ede, also in Osun state (ACEGID). My interest in women and children welfare informed the researches in metabolic medicine and molecular diagnostics solution , that is the use of technology (next generation sequencing ) and data science to provide medical solutions as the conventional diagnostic tools seems medically unreliable, with these new tools of dignosis, early and appropriate treatment which will prevent complications are gotten, more so there are frequent new discoveries which amazes me always.
